*A note on specialized approaches

The style of CIT inherently involves the use of a wide variety of therapeutic approaches and techniques.  I am not an “expert” of every approach available to therapists, but rather have considerable knowledge and understanding of many of them.

With this in mind, the style of CIT involves me (the therapist) necessarily reviewing, researching, and further understanding any approaches and becoming proficient in any techniques for which my clients find a need or use.  Therefore, it is prudent and ethical to specify therapies in which I specialize.

As a respectful caveat, I would like to caution consumers about anyone claiming to specialize in “everything”- regarding either approaches or problems.
